BDS - if I forget you

Matisyahu when he still had the beard

This song is so powerful and, okay, catchy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8ULIw0Zgaw
Here is a piece I wrote about the Brownshirts - sorry, the BDS - back in 2012 for Spur magazine: http://darylmccann.blogspot.com.au/2012/09/modern-day-antisemitism-and-campaign.html

The Mainstream Left in the West is Officially Barking Mad (Part III)

Labor Opposition Leader Bill Shorten at a Welcome to Strangers ceremony in Rome

This is Australian (or might we say "Australian") Bill Shorten's latest Big Idea: at the start of every parliamentary year there should be a "Welcome to strangers" ceremony performed by people with an Australian Aboriginal lineage. The problem, surely, is that Australian parliamentarians are neither "strangers" in our wonderful nation nor "strangers" to our splendid Westminster-style political system. Certainly Bill Shorten and his bohemian socialist colleagues are strange, but that is another matter. The Mainstream Left in the West is Officially Barking Mad (Part II)

Bernie Sanders

Here, according to Gene Schwimmer, writing at the American Thinker site, is Bernie Sanders' views as per his voting in the US Senate:

  • opposes the Keystone Pipeline;
  • believes that wealthy Americans are undertaxed;
  • believes that HHS grants should go to organizations that perform abortions;
  • opposes making it a crime to harm a fetus during another crime;
  • opposes banning partial-birth abortions;
  • opposes school vouchers;
  • opposes drilling in ANWR;
  • believes that the government should regulate wholesale electricity and gas prices;
  • would provide (read, waste) another $2 billion more on the “cash for clunkers” program;
  • opposes free trade;
  • would give the District of Columbia a seat in Congress;
  • opposes requiring photo ID to vote in federal elections;
  • opposes banning physician-assisted suicide;
  • opposes continuing military recruitment on college campuses;
  • supports continuing federal funds for declared “sanctuary cities”;
  • opposes building a fence along the Mexican border;
  • supports card-check instead of secret ballot for forming unions;
  • opposes eliminating the “marriage penalty”;
  • opposed $46 billion in tax cuts for small business;
  • opposes designating Iran's Revolutionary Guards as terrorists; and
  • opposes promoting work and marriage among TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) recipients.

    Three Essays on the Challenge of an Islamic Reformation

    Paul Monk has written a fine article in the July-August 2015 edition of Quadrant on this pressing subject of Islamic Reformation: http://quadrant.org.au/magazine/2015/07-08/ayaan-hirsi-alis-reformation-challenge-islam/
    Monk makes a generous reference to my essay on the same subject, which appeared in the June 2015 edition of Quadrant: https://quadrant.org.au/magazine/2015/06/can-islam-reformed/
    And, to complete the trifecta, here is a link to Peter Smith's criticism in Quadrant Online of both Paul's article and mine: https://quadrant.org.au/opinion/qed/2015/07/forlorn-hopes-islamic-reformation/
